North Las Vegas Concrete Cost Guide

Concrete prices in North Las Vegas are driven by the actual scope, but local and Las Vegas Valley cost data gives us a much better starting point than national averages. Use these figures to build a realistic budget before a site-specific estimate.

Local Concrete Planning Ranges

Published North Las Vegas and Las Vegas Valley pricing sources point to a fairly consistent pattern: plain residential flatwork commonly starts in the high single digits per square foot, while heavier-duty, decorative, demolition-heavy, or access-limited work moves higher. These are planning ranges, not fixed company rates.

For budgeting, we would rather show you local numbers with the scope attached than quote a national average that ignores Las Vegas Valley labor, material delivery, summer placement conditions, access, demolition, and local permitting.

Project TypeLocal Planning RangeWhat That Range Assumes
Concrete driveway$9-$16 per sq. ft.Typical installed residential driveway planning range in North Las Vegas; size, demolition, base correction, thickness, reinforcement and finish can move the price.
Concrete patio$7-$13 per sq. ft.Plain or standard-finish patio planning range for the Las Vegas Valley; decorative finishes and backyard access can move it higher.
Basic slab or pad$6-$10 per sq. ft.Useful starting range for straightforward residential slab/pad work before heavy loads, difficult access, major excavation or specialty reinforcement.
Stamped / decorative concrete$12-$20+ per sq. ft.Standard stamped or colored work can land in this range; multi-color, detailed borders and premium patterns can go materially higher.
Concrete demolition / removal$3.60-$5.40 per sq. ft.Published Las Vegas reference for demolition and removal of a typical 4-inch slab; reinforced or thicker concrete can cost more.
Ready-mix concrete$143-$172 per cubic yardNorth Las Vegas material-only planning range reported for roughly 3,000-5,000 PSI concrete; delivery and project labor are separate.

What Common North Las Vegas Projects Can Look Like

Square-foot math is most useful when the site is reasonably accessible and the scope is clearly defined. The examples below apply the local planning ranges above to common project sizes. They are budgeting examples only and should not be treated as quotes.

A project can move outside these examples when there is substantial demolition, caliche or difficult excavation, drainage correction, narrow side-yard access, thicker concrete for vehicle loads, complex reinforcement, multiple mobilizations, or decorative work.

Example ProjectPlanning MathBudget Context
400 sq. ft. drivewayAbout $3,600-$6,400Before unusual demolition, major grade correction, decorative finish, or other site-specific extras.
700 sq. ft. two-car drivewayAbout $6,300-$11,200Lines up closely with published North Las Vegas project-level driveway estimates.
300 sq. ft. plain patioAbout $2,100-$3,900Assumes ordinary access and a standard finish; decorative work can raise the range.
400 sq. ft. slab / padAbout $2,400-$4,000Useful for basic planning before heavier loading, difficult access, or structural requirements.
300 sq. ft. stamped patioAbout $3,600-$6,000+Standard stamped work; premium multi-color or highly detailed work can go beyond this.

A Real Local Cost Item: North Las Vegas Driveway Permits

North Las Vegas publishes a specific off-site permit category for a residential driveway that is not associated with a single-family residence plot and grading plan. The city currently lists a $100 fee per driveway plus a $75 issuance fee per permit.

Commercial driveways are handled differently. The city says they require a full civil improvement plan because of easement, detailed-design, and high-point requirements. Permit needs depend on the exact project, so the city requirements should be checked before construction rather than assumed from a generic concrete price.

Published City Fee Example

$100 per residential driveway + $75 issuance fee for the city's standalone residential-driveway permit category. This is a municipal fee example, not a blanket permit total for every concrete project.

What Moves a North Las Vegas Concrete Estimate Up or Down

The surface area is only the beginning. Removing existing concrete can add several dollars per square foot before the new slab is even formed. Base correction, excavation, grading, hauling, pumping or long placement distances, thicker sections, reinforcement, and decorative finishes all change the labor and material picture.

Summer placement conditions matter too. Hot, dry weather can change scheduling, crew sequencing, finishing windows, and curing practices. That does not create a simple summer surcharge, but it can affect how a project is planned and executed.

Demolition & Disposal

Existing concrete, thickness, reinforcement, sawcutting, loading and haul distance all affect removal cost.

Base & Grade

Soft spots, unsuitable material, caliche excavation, drainage corrections and compaction can change the prep scope.

Thickness & Steel

Passenger-car flatwork, RV pads and structural slabs do not automatically use the same section or reinforcement.

Access

Open-front-yard placement is different from moving concrete through a narrow side yard or around completed landscaping.

Finish

Broom-finished concrete is usually less labor-intensive than color, stamping, borders, exposed aggregate or detailed decorative work.

Project Size

Larger straightforward pours can spread mobilization across more square footage; very small jobs often cost more per square foot.

How to Compare Concrete Bids Without Getting Fooled by the Bottom Line

Two bids are only comparable when the scopes are comparable. Check whether each proposal includes demolition, disposal, excavation, base material, compaction, forms, slab thickness, reinforcement, finish, control joints, curing, cleanup, permit responsibility, and transitions to existing concrete or pavement.

A lower number can simply mean that one contractor excluded work another contractor included. Ask what happens if unsuitable base material is discovered, whether the quoted thickness applies across the full slab, and whether decorative or sealing work is included or separate.

Get a North Las Vegas Estimate Based on the Actual Property

For a more useful estimate, send approximate dimensions, the project address or ZIP code, photos of the work area and access, whether existing concrete must be removed, how the finished slab will be used, and the finish you are considering. For RV pads, commercial slabs, foundations, or other heavier-duty work, include expected loads or plans when available.

The ranges on this page are designed to help you budget intelligently. Your actual price depends on the scope, property conditions, access, current material costs, and the construction details required for the job.
